Initial Remarks of declarations of Rosario
Co-President of Nicaragua,
in the Midday Edition of Multinoticias Channel 4
August 19th 2026

A very good afternoon, Compañera. Good afternoon, beloved families of our Patriotic Nation.

There is a Patriotic Nation here! There is a Nation…! And we say it from the bottom of our souls, from everything that we are… This is a Patriotic Nation! And because this is a Patriotic Nation, there is Light, there is Life, there are True Truths. Because this is a Patriotic Nation, this Dignified, Free and Sovereign Nicaragua calls on us to Move Onward, All Together, as a People President.

There are those who have no nation, there are those who do not belong, there are those who have no impact on the daily life of Nicaragua’s families. Spent cartridges, making fools of themselves, absent the least legitimacy, they are, as our grandmothers used to say and still say, completely on their ownsome as regards this great Nicaragua, because this is a Patriotic Nation, while they think of themselves as Heroes, in fact really they are scarecrows, with neither voice nor song. Mere scare-birds, anxious for any crumbs they hope may fall at their owners’ whim.

From the National Assembly of this most dignified Nation of ours, because this is a Patriotic Nation, we know we are making progress in the broad consultation going on across the country. And we know, because we have a Patriotic Nation, who the criminals are, trading in their honor, who the fools are, who the evildoers and scoundrels are, and who are the miserable hired hands of the descendants of William Walker.

There is a Patriotic Nation here! And what should we do as patriots? First, we should ignore those people because they are nobody, but also to show them up them as the ridiculous outlaws they are, who, lacking courage and even their own voice, conjure up legions of liars across what they call social networks, which are networks for the display of vanity, voracity, selfishness and evil.

Legions of liars, though legions is to say too much, they are left overs of liars, mercenaries, traitors and cowards, who exhibit themselves, they love to pose as if, again I’m going to use the word, in a theater of the ridiculous; a courtroom, or make-believe court, comic or maybe tragicomic, bandying about accusations they think will bring them more crumbs, more left-overs, so as to carry on fighting among themselves, like the hungry pack of hounds they are.

No one wastes time addressing servility, no one pays attention it, and, of course, no one respects it either.

Packs of hounds and packs of jackals, barking and barking, from one lie to the next; all while the Ways of God open up before us for the Families of the Christian, Socialist, Solidarity-inspired, Heroic People President of Nicaragua, to continue advancing along them, making our way as we go.

There are those who are able to catch dreams… The Original Peoples have nets for catching dreams; and there are those who constantly lie, trapped in their own mendacity.

This coming Saturday of True Truths, we continue our calendar of great anniversaries.

This is a Patriotic Nation! And because we have this Patriotic Nation we celebrate ourselves for what we are: a great People, a Combative People, a Brave People, a Heroic People, a Victorious People! And we will be at the National Palace, now the Palace of Culture, to commemorate the incomparable feat there, as we said, of a bravery and audacity never before seen.

People of Nicaragua, Nicaraguan People, People of Sandino, People of Rigoberto, q Heroic People, commemorating the Paths of Victorious Struggles… Our Paths!

There is a Patriotic Nation…! And here we say it again: Somocismo does not exist. Somocismo does not exist, in these Lands Blessed with so much Love, so much Faith, so much Grace from God!

In the halls and passages of the National Palace, today the Palace of Culture, our National Assembly will meet accompanied by hundreds of young people, of the new generations of Brave and Combative Nicaraguans, and our National Assembly will announce the progress thus far in the consultations on the Sovereign Electoral Reforms, reforms for our free and dignified elections, and we are going to celebrate ourselves in National Dignity, in Sovereignty, and in that Heroism of All Times, of each and every Nicaraguan, celebrate that We Are a Patriotic Nation, that We are a Free Patriotic Nation, that We Are All Combatants, that we are all Victorious.

Then on Sunday, we will exalt as well the example of the great National Literacy Crusade throughout our Blessed Patriotic Nation. Another magnificent and incomparable feat of Our Great People, of Every One of Us.
