a las Reformas Constitucionales presentadas a las Fuerzas Militares
del Ejército de Nicaragua

Hoy iniciamos el Proceso de Consultas de las Reformas Constitucionales y no es casual que inauguramos este Proceso, iniciamos este Proceso con las Fuerzas Militares del Ejército de Nicaragua.

Hemos presentado todos los aspectos, los conceptos, que están sujetos a reformarse: El período de tiempos, los muros y bloques de contención para todos aquellos Golpistas, hay que decirlo… Los Golpistas, los Traidores a la Patria, los que atenten contra la Independencia, la Soberanía y la Autodeterminación de Nicaragua, los que violen la Constitución, ninguno de esos puede tener Derechos Políticos, eso lo dejamos claro.

Y dejamos claro todo lo que le toca como atribuciones al Consejo Supremo Electoral para cumplir estos Mandatos Constitucionales.

Bueno, lo más importante, en fin, es que nos sentimos orgullosos del respaldo que nos dio toda esa gran cantidad del Cuerpo de Generales, los Coroneles, los Oficiales Superiores, los Oficiales Subalternos; es decir, todo ese gran Cuerpo que comanda nuestra Ejército nos dio un respaldo, le dio un respaldo a la Reforma Constitucional, y expresó un concepto de Unidad Nacional alrededor de estas Reformas.

Unidad del Gobierno, de los Órganos del Estado, Unidad de la Institución Ejército de Nicaragua, y Unidad de Tod@s, el Pueblo de Nicaragua. Como decíamos en algún momento, Ejército-Pueblo-Unidad-Tod@s, eso va a garantizar el Triunfo contra la Pobreza, eso es lo más importante. Y ustedes pudieron escuchar esa expresión de “Tod@s por la Patria”, que ha sido uno de los Lemas y las Consignas de nuestro Ejército de Nicaragua.

Nosotros nos sentimos orgullosos y ha sido un buen inicio de este Proceso de Consultas; Proceso de Consultas que nos va a llevar todo el Mes de Agosto, lo que nos falta de Julio, Agosto, pretendiendo, en Saludo a la Patria, al Mes de la Patria, estar aprobando en Primera Legislatura la Reforma Constitucional.

Today we started the Process of Consultations on Constitutional Reforms and it is no coincidence that we inaugurated this Process, we started this Process with the Military Forces of the Nicaraguan Army.

We have presented all the aspects and concepts that are subject to reform: The time period, the walls and containment barriers against all those coup plotters, it must be said… those coup promoters, traitors to the Patriotic Nation, those who mount attempts against the Independence, Sovereignty and Self-Determination of Nicaragua, those who violate the Constitution, none of these people can have Political Rights, we made that clear.

And we make clear everything touching on the attributions to the Supreme Electoral Council so as to fulfill these Constitutional Mandates.

Well, the most important thing, briefly, is that we can be proud of the support given to us by the entire large number of the Corps of Generals, Colonels, Senior Officers and Junior Officers; that is, all of that great Officer Corps in command of our Army supported us, gave an endorsement to the Constitutional Reform, and expressed a sense of National Unity around these Reforms.

Unity of the Government, of the Organs of the State, Unity of the Nicaraguan Army as an Institution, and Unity of Everyone, the People of Nicaragua. As we said once, Army-People-Unity-of-Everyone, that’s going to guarantee the Victory over Poverty, that’s the most important thing. And you could hear that expression of «Everyone for the Patriotic Nation”, which has been one of the rallying calls and slogans of our Nicaraguan Army.

We feel proud and it has been a good beginning of this Consultation Process; a Consultation Process which will take us the whole month of August and what’s left of July, August, leading up to the month of the Patriotic Nation, in salute to the Patriotic Nation, so as to approve the Constitutional Reform in the First Legislature.
