Nicaragua felicita a Mauritania en el 65.º aniversario de su Independencia

Estimado Hermano Presidente,

En la muy especial ocasión de conmemorar el 65º Aniversario de la Independencia, permítanos expresarle, en nombre del Pueblo y Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional de la República de Nicaragua, y en nuestro propio nombre, nuestras más cálidas felicitaciones a Usted, al Gobierno y al Hermano Pueblo de la República Islámica de Mauritania, este próximo 28 de Noviembre.

En esta fecha solemne, rendimos homenaje a la gesta histórica del Pueblo Mauritano, que, en 1958, mediante un referéndum decisivo, manifestó su voluntad de constituirse como Nación Libre, y que culminó el 28 de Noviembre de 1960 con la proclamación formal de su Independencia y el reconocimiento internacional de Mauritania como Estado Soberano.

Estas conquistas heroicas continúan inspirando a los Pueblos que defendemos nuestro Derecho a la Autodeterminación, Independencia y Soberanía ante cualquier forma de dominación o injerencia.

Desde nuestra Nicaragua, Siempre Bendita y Siempre Libre, reiteramos, Estimado Hermano Presidente, nuestro firme compromiso de continuar fortaleciendo los Lazos de Amistad, Fraternidad, Solidaridad y Cooperación que unen a nuestros Pueblos y Gobiernos, en la convicción de que la Hermandad entre nuestras Naciones contribuye al Desarrollo, a la Paz y al Bienestar de nuestras Sociedades.

Dear Brother President,

On the very special occasion of commemorating the 65th Anniversary of Independence, allow us to extend, on behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and in our own name, our warmest congratulations to You, to the Government, and to the Brotherly People of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, on this upcoming 28 November.

On this solemn date, we pay tribute to the historic struggle of the Mauritanian People, who in 1958, through a decisive referendum, expressed their will to constitute themselves as a free nation, culminating on 28 November 1960 with the formal proclamation of Independence and the international recognition of Mauritania as a sovereign State.

These heroic achievements continue to inspire the peoples who defend our right to Self-Determination, Independence and Sovereignty in the face of any form of domination or interference.

From our Nicaragua, Always Blessed and Always Free, we reiterate, Esteemed Brother President, our steadfast commitment to continue strengthening the Bonds of Friendship, Fraternity, Solidarity and Cooperation that unite our Peoples and Governments, in the conviction that the brotherhood between our nations contributes to development, peace and the well-being of our societies.
