A very good afternoon, Compañera. Good afternoon, beloved families of this Blessed, Good, Vigorous, Honorable Nation… This is Our Patriotic, Beloved Nation, a Patirotic Nation of Peace and Well-being, a Nation of Honor and Glory… a Patriotic Nation, because we love this Nicaragua of Ours… a Nation for Everyone, for Us All … a Patriotic Nation of Peace, Freedom and Dignity!
The days we are living through are days to reassert and reaffirm that we are God’s People and that we are a People of the God of all Triumphs and all Strengths.
Get out of our way then, then, you bums and chancers. Keep playing your games! They think they can keep playing at being, which they do, like every other villain from all our history. But they are after all, as we said yesterday, just scarecrows filled with firecrackers, spent and dud cartridges.
Watching them, they seem to play with a little sock ball, kicking it around and around their own walls. And we can almost hear them :
Oh, ah, without moving, without laughing
on one foot, on one hand
whirlwind, easel,
front and back,
back and forth,
half turn
and the whole turn
Get out of our way…! Out of our way you burnt out bums and chancers…! Out of our way you wretched scarecrows…! And they do fall back! They do retreat! Because they are the hired hands of Evil!
They never tire, despite being worn out, what they can’t get tired of is doing the rounds pleading, seeking their chance; betting that someone, somehow will take them seriously, which, of course, won’t happen; because no one in their right mind could take seriously one of history’s trash heaps; those who, with neither disgrace nor glory, barely make it even as courtiers of misfortune; unworthy gravediggers; to those with neither genius, nor preeminence; the same pesky mascots with the same tails, and the ever growing anxiety and eagerness to make a splash, however, wherever.
To them, for them, we offer our prayers.
We have History, we have a Patriotic Nation, we have Memory, we have the Strength of a God who blesses our steps. They should make no mistake and should forget about continuing their theater when the only thing they can expect is mockery, the contempt of all of us who know we have a Patriotic Nation here. And it is precisely in these days to come when we’ll be holding great celebrations of the heroic feats of this Our People, whom God blesses.
We are continuing with the Constitutional Reform and today there was a Meeting with Athletes and Sports Promoters, and this afternoon it will be the turn of Religious Sectors at the National Autonomous University in Managua.
