Nicaragua condena en la ONU la agresión criminal de Estados Unidos contra Venezuela

El compañero Jaime Hermida Castillo, Representante Permanente de Nicaragua ante la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), emitió el mensaje del pueblo nicaragüense en la sesión de urgencia del Consejo de Seguridad del organismo por la criminal agresión de Estados Unidos en contra de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela.

Señor Presidente,

1.    América Latina y el Caribe es Zona de Paz, declarada por la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y caribeños (CELAC) en nombre de todos los Pueblos y Gobiernos de nuestra región.

2.    Esta Zona de Paz debe ser absolutamente respetada por todos los Gobiernos del Mundo sin excepción, y en especial, por los miembros de este Consejo de Seguridad responsable por la Paz y seguridades Internacionales.
3.    Esta decisión, deseos y aspiraciones de nuestros pueblos son una aportación noble a la Paz Mundial, al derecho internacional, a la Carta de Naciones Unidas.

Señor Presidente,

4.    Nicaragua respalda lo expresado por la Presidenta Interina de Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez que pide la liberación inmediata del Presidente Constitucional y Legítimo de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros y de la Primera Combatiente de la Patria, Cilia Flores.

5.    Todos los Estados Miembros de Naciones Unidas tienen el deber de respetar el Derecho Internacional, el espíritu, los propósitos y principios de la carta de Naciones Unidas, el derecho a la Soberanía, autodeterminación, integridad territorial de los Estados, la no injerencia, la convivencia pacífica.

6.    El pueblo venezolano es el pueblo digno de Bolívar, de Chaves, de Maduro e históricamente indoblegable que defiende su soberanía y su derecho a la Paz. Nicaragua estará siempre con Venezuela.

7.    La Paz ha sido profundamente herida y la Familia Humana, la Comunidad de Naciones, los Pueblos del Mundo, urgimos que se reinstale como absoluto reflejo de la Dignidad de los Pueblos.

ADDRESS BY NICARAGUA
IN THE MEETING ON VENEZUELA
OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL

January 5th, 2026

Mr. President,

1. Latin America and the Caribbean is a Zone of Peace, as declared by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) on behalf of all the Peoples and Governments of our region.

2. This Zone of Peace must be respected absolutely by all the Governments of the World without exception, and especially by the members of this Security Council who are responsible for International Peace and Security.

3. This decision, the wishes and aspirations of our peoples are a noble contribution to World Peace, to international law and to the Charter of the United Nations.

Mr. President,

4. Nicaragua supports the statement made by the Interim President of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez, who has called for the immediate release of the Constitutional, Legitimate President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and of the First Combatant of their Nation, Cilia Flores.

5. All Member States of the United Nations have the duty to respect International Law, the spirit, the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, the right to Sovereignty, self-determination, territorial integrity of States, non-interference and peaceful coexistence.

6. Venezuela’s People are the dignified people of Bolívar, of Chávez, of Maduro and historically indomitable who defend their sovereignty and their right to Peace. Nicaragua will always stand by Venezuela.

7. Peace has been deeply wounded and the Human Family, the Community of Nations, the Peoples of the World, all of us urge that it be reinstated as an absolute reflection of the Dignity of Peoples.
